Just Married on Long Island

The pair get so incredibly drunk together that they end up getting accidently married. This book is about a British bookstore Owner, Emily Bartlett, whose fiance breaks up with her after cheating on her for six months. This is a comical story of errors. Though there were a few moments that made me laugh, I can't call this a comedy or label it as humorous. Whenever the narrators would slip into the British character, though, it was much more natural and a better experience. Emily decides to book a flight and now the fun begins. The whole plot unwound in a believable format that hooked this reader and kept me entertained and enthralled to the end.

I know that supporting each other is key in a relationship, but any sort of conversations about things they had in common would have helped a little, I think. This book is about a British bookstore Owner, Emily Bartlett, whose fiance breaks up with her after cheating on her for six months. If you are after a sweet read with a bit of angst thrown in than I would recommend this book. There are some interesting ideas in this one but we have a I've read a handful of Natasha West's books and I think this is my least favorite among them. Read this book at your own risk since you may feel like punching something or someone during certain moments.

But, unfortunately, this audiobook was no different in the delivery of the lines. Following their wedding, the happy couple sets off — with the highest of hopes and ideals about love and marriage — on what they expect will be the perfect vacation in Italy. Despite acting like they are sullen teens, the two lovers are 27 and 28. And her Julia Hawke series is pretty sophisticated and on my favorites list caveat about the first book not being so great while the 2nd and 3rd are really good. They both find themselves married to a stranger and unsure what to do. I used this website searching for someone to help me plan my wedding in Kauai I got in touch with Judy and she was wonderful on helping me plan my wedding in Kauai from Calif.

Could they fall in love? Fun, funny, incredibly short book. It is kind of closed off down here. In most books sharing this theme, one character or both agree to the relationship before they commit to faking it together. I've read a handful of Natasha West's books and I think this is my least favorite among them. I did alot of skimming in this one because I did want to see how it ended. If I listen to the story, my rating actually drops.

My critiques are kind of typical for me---very white and cis and abled , the Los Angeles descriptions were fine for the most part but there were a few things that I didn't agree with, and the two characters fell in love but we never exactly saw why. The story switches to Ruby, a frustrated and grouchy actress, having a discussion with her manager, also he mom. Well, no, you were supposed to do that, but usually before you married them and not during a preposterous fake relationship that followed. I really like West's writing and will likely read more of her stories, as I enjoyed her characters and found them believable. So not only was the marriage in this one fake, the chemistry came off as fake.

So not only was the marriage in this one fake, the chemistry came off as fake. With each book she writes you never know what to expect, but yet again she excels, this was no exception. This is a comical story of errors. Discomfited to see that play out here as well. Makes me love my mum even more.

It felt like the writer relied mostly on the cities reputations and over generalizations and there was a miss in authenticity. Sarah has moved out and Tom wants to get back with her. This is one of those kinda annoying to me books that involve women who are old enough to control their own lives both characters are around 27, 28 , but who allow themselves to be dominated by an older woman. It's an I really enjoyed this book - so much so that I cried at the end of it. The other minor part that had me baffled was how two grown women both allowed someone to treat them like unruly children, scolding and all. Well, no, you were supposed to do that, but usually before you married them and not during a preposterous fake relationship that followed.

Another winner from Natasha West. They over emphasize consonants, especially 'R' sounds, and over-act, stripping an American accent of nuance. However, Sarah opens the gate herself after seeing Tom make a romantic speech to the camera and the two rush out to proclaim their love for each other. Because, apparently, they got married during their drunken night of fun, they even have a certificate to prove it! Sometimes to the point of excess, like, say, in lesbian fiction. Just Married chronicles the beleaguered romance of Tom Leezak Ashton Kutcher and Sarah McNerney Brittany Murphy , a young couple unexpectedly swept off their feet after their first meeting. Emily needs to get away and takes a trip to the first place in America she can get a plane to, Vegas. I really liked the characters as well - even if I wanted to throttle Ruby at certain points! More than old enough to stand on their own two feet.

This being Ruby and Denise. Just Married was written by Sam Harper, who claims to have loosely based the script on his own experiences on an ill-starred European honeymoon with his wife; fortunately, the couple's marriage survived the experience. My beloved has stabbed himself! Peter bursts in to ask Sarah to run away with him to , leading to a fight that lands Tom and Sarah in jail — still without consummating their marriage. Just Married by the author Natasha West was another great read and funny. To fall in love with your own wife. This had me laughing out loud but also sad at times. This is my 4th book by West and probably my least favorite.

If I read the story in its words I give it about a 3. Of course there are plenty of books out there with fake marriages for various reasons, but this one was just silly. I really enjoyed this book - so much so that I cried at the end of it. Emily decides to book a flight and now the fun begins. Tom tries to force the toy's American plug into the European outlet and he shuts down the entire village's electricity. Flying to Europe for their honeymoon, they attempt to consummate their marriage by joining the , but fail rather publicly. My critiques are kind of typical for me---very white and cis and abled , the Los Angeles descriptions were fine for the most part but there were a few things that I didn't agree with, and the two characters fell in love but we never exactly saw why.
